Sean Maple
Sean Maple was born in April 1936 in Wimbledon, London. At the end of the war, his family moved down to Kent.
As a youngster in the 1950’s Sean took jobs which allowed him to continue playing the jazz trombone in the evenings not giving much thought to the future. Between 1972 and 1975 Sean trained as teacher. He taught in a county primary junior school until his retirement in 1996 at the age of 60. Sean played in various jazz bands, mainly in East Kent, until 2019. He has done weekend tours in Belgium, France and Germany. These were great times for him especially after the fall of the Berlin wall.
Sean’s favourite activities are walking, reading and mainly jazz music from the 1930s to present day. Sean has acquired skills in carpentry and has only stopped playing the trombone recently. He published a short story in a local newspaper as well as some poetry.
Sean is married and has three children the youngest being 55. Sean currently resides in Kent. A Conflict of Interests with Murderous Intent is his first crime novel.
