Interview session with Dickhead<\/em> author Cornelius Van Leeuwen.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In his book Dickhead<\/a>,<\/em> Cornelius Van Leeuwen<\/strong>, known as Cor, provocatively notes: \u2018Ladies! Is there a disconnect in your relationship with your partner? Does he struggle to hold an erection? He may have prostate issues coming. This book is the perfect gift; it could save his life and intensify your love life!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cor is a renowned international life coach, street-wise and university smart. He guides his readers to decondition and transfer to real love and intimacy. After four operations, Cor broke out of the conditioned views he had in relationships, sex and intimacy. He realized what events created dis-ease and learned how to create a straight, stand-up, loving life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We talked to author Cornelius Van Leeuwen<\/strong> about his epiphany, his journey as an author and what inspires him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What would you like readers to know about your life that is related to your book?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are different elements of my life that have been brought into the book. As to be expected, my own life experience of having severe prostate problems for years and years is one of the elements that inspired me to write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am now thirty-five years old and working internationally as a coach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Human behaviour, choice-making, rationalisations, dreams and reality are a few of the elements that are part of my life. I have always been conscious of the synchronicity between attention and intention, being sensitive and sensible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leading elements are curiosity and aesthetics. The combination of my professional life and my own life experience created the content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my long illness, which involved many hospital visits, I started to research my own experiences. How did the problems come? How to deal with them? I am a scientist, so I started to explore the behaviour of men and women concerning their relationships and how they dealt with their issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your writing process for the book?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Obviously, I started to read and research all around the prostate issue. I missed the human, holistic, and psychological elements in the books and articles I had come across. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started to interview patients, their spouses, and their doctors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I noticed that the intimacy, the softness, and the aesthetics within ourselves and in many relationships were often missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an author, I have written seven books. My passion for writing and serving is part of my being. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the process, I differentiated between elements that would serve people in dealing with the disease, both before and after, writing about them, structuring the text, and staying close to my soul. Most dog owners give more attention to their dog having pain than they do to themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have any other books published? Are you currently working on another book?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The first book I published, when I was twenty-one years old, was Oorzaken en een Begin <\/em>(Causes and a Beginning<\/em>), a book of poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also wrote a lot of articles. The second real book was Becoming Who You Are by Doing it Yourself<\/em>, a self-assessment instrument, published in both Dutch and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logically, the next book, The Puzzle of Self-Assessment<\/em>, explored the communication part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
