David Bailey was a professional footballer. He was badly injured on his debut and his career was over. He joined a local chemical company and invented specialist cleaning materials from waste mineral by-products. He went on to form a new sales company; built a large and successful business and became National Sales Manager for a combination of sales companies but a hostile take-over, resulted in his redundancy.
Having been highly trained in sales and management, and being inspired by the experience, he tracked down the MD of the training company to a hotel in Hawaii and asked him for a job. Fourteen years later, he owned the company, before selling it to an investment company.
He then created a new concept of high-quality computer mice branded as Motormouse. With a successful appearance on BBCs Dragon’s Den in 2009, he went into partnership with James Caan and built another global brand before exiting in 2014.
