The world record was set on July 15, 2007 as part of the summer festival in celebration of the decennial anniversary of novum publishing. The publisher was nominated for the category “Most people to write a story” for the Guinness Book of World Records TM, with the participation of a total of 797 people. The aim was to involve and motivate as many people as possible to write a continuous and coherent story together. The story “Novi, the little bookworm” served as the frame, and it was split in ten chapters. Each sentence was written by the participants, one after another. The handwritten pages were scanned, reduced in size and bound as a book. This book then–with all the necessary documentary data and references – was sent to the London headquarters of the Guinness Book of World Records, and after a long and thorough validation process, it was approved as new world record.
