Maggie Williams Richmond
A perennial bookworm and student, Maggie Williams Richmond has enjoyed a varied career including nursing, social care management, and charity administration.
Having formerly balanced work and travel, Maggie spent the first five years of her retirement labouring with her husband to restore an old stone house in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. At the same time, she continued to compose songs, write poems, and publish a quirky reflective blog, co-authored with her dog Shadow.
Now settled near Dundee, Maggie has delved deeply into her family tree and is developing a series of stories based on the lives of her ancestors – a very mixed bunch, including a much-maligned Scottish nobleman, a transported convict, a Welsh preacher, and a Belfast industrialist.
When not writing, researching, cooking, or gardening, you may find Maggie tricycling into town, walking along the coast path, or helping out at the local animal rescue centre.
