Peter Dutly

Peter Dutly was born in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 1956.
A financially challenging childhood taught him that hard work and frugality are sometimes all a person can afford. After completing his apprenticeship as an electrician, he attended compulsory military training in Switzerland. He then worked for an international employer in Zurich as a Project Manager in the field of building automation.

Dutly worked in several management positions, for example, as Head of Technical Services, as Project Manager, and as Division Manager. For the last 20 years, he has worked as a Division Manager at the Swiss Federal Office of Computer Science, Technology, and Telecommunications in Bern.

After he retired, he turned his childhood dream into reality and began writing. He is an avid reader, skier, and card player.
