von Aasgeiern bedroht
die nicht nur das Fleisch wollen

The ark with Noah overboard
rushes bewildered
to the ground floor
the latest technology
to distract
to stimulate
fast drive
and never arrive
to be everywhere
and nowhere
to know it all and yet
everything
to forget
The hippo
throws her weight around the sports department
lifestyle fanatics unite!
Tries on the latest models of swimming goggles
must be second to none
and fast!
The purchase is done!
Now straight to water
by escalator she blocks the path
the monkey mob
with strollers and loaded shopping carts
once more
the shrieking starts!
Meanwhile the lioness
lolls serenely
on the fourth floor terrace
where rabbits and foxes, exhausted by shopping
take cappuccino
to regain their strength
indifferent stares without restraint
The lioness sips her hibiscus ICE tea
a one-year-old cub is her pride
her heart growing larger
she suddenly snarls at a crime against nature
when her offspring
is threatened by vultures
who want not just meat but
the soul inside
At eight, the department store closes
the hippo long since returned to her river roses
the giraffe to the Chinese garden
behind the wall, peering over
The last monkey scurries
through the door he hurries
into the dark night
The night watchman turns
off the light
turns off the illusion of freedom
