Bernard Lovink
Bernard Lovink was born in 1942 in the Dutch village of Wisch. After graduating high school from the HBS-A school in Doetinchem, Lovink pursued a degree in social sciences at the University in Nijmegen and later went on to work as a policy adviser for several local governments. Long since retired, he now lives a quiet life with his wife in the town of Vries, where he enjoys reading and taking long walks. Perhaps it was on one of these walks that the idea for his first novel came to him: the story of a man whose "freedom" unexpectedly falls into his lap, but who lacks the basic intuition to use it.
