David Reed

David Reed was born in 1947 in Harrogate, Yorkshire. He attended school in West London and then ventured into television and film production. David’s career led him to a role in the BBC, AND OTHER BROADCASTERS, a role which took him all over the world, from the Arctic to Antarctica. These travels spawned in David a keen interest in nature conservation, and after living in New Zealand for several years, David took early retirement and headed his own company specialising in nature programmes.
David now lives in England in the picturesque countryside of Shropshire, where he writes scripts for natural history film productions. Alongside this, a lifelong fascination with the enigmatic ingenuity of nature and the metaphysical ‘why’ of the universe has fuelled David in his avid reading of all texts related to social and natural history.
