Paul Schmid

Paul Schmid was born in Switzerland in 1933 and had a modest upbringing with his brilliant brother. At the age of twenty-two, he met a seventeen-year-old girl he liked very much and eventually married. They have now been married for sixty-five years and have been blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After studying electrical engineering, the couple also went into business together and, in 1967, founded a telecommunications company, soon to become a leading provider in Switzerland. "Once I lived the life of a millionaire" shows how their success story was brought to an abrupt halt. Nevertheless, he quite rightly does not overlook the positives and looks back on a happy life.
